Wellington cake delivery made easy
Choose from the Wellington cakes shown above, tell us when the cake is needed and enter the recipient's correct postcode and delivery details at checkout. We'll freshly bake and carefully prepare the cake at our Auckland bakery for its journey south.
Every cake shown on this page has been selected because we trust it to travel beautifully through the standard courier network.
Select the date of the celebration or the date the cake is required. This is the date needed, not necessarily the exact day the courier will arrive.
The delivery postcode confirms whether the address is eligible and applies the correct Wellington delivery service and charge.
Our introductory Wellington rate is $10 per cake across eligible postcodes — applied automatically at checkout.
Your cake is freshly baked in Auckland, carefully boxed and prepared for delivery across the Wellington region.
Delivery timing
Better a little early than late to the party! ✨
The last thing we want is for your cake to miss the big occasion. The courier service is generally overnight, but occasional delays can happen, so wherever timing allows, we send your cake early enough to arrive the working day before it is needed.
That extra day gives the courier a little breathing room if there is an unexpected delay.
When an order is placed with only the minimum two working days' notice, there may not always be enough time to build in that extra day. We will still freshly bake, prepare and dispatch the cake with the aim of it arriving by the date it is needed.
An early arrival is absolutely fine. Your cake will stay delicious for at least five days from the day it arrives, with no refrigeration required.

Wellington cake delivery questions
Is there still a Chocolate Cake Company shop in Wellington?
Our former Lambton Quay shop has closed. Wellington cakes are now freshly baked at our Auckland bakery and delivered across the Wellington region.
Can I collect my cake in Wellington?
No. We do not currently have a Wellington collection point. All Wellington orders must be delivered to an eligible address.
How much notice do I need to give?
Please order at least two working days before the cake is needed. This gives us time to freshly bake, prepare and dispatch your cake. Ordering earlier gives us the best opportunity to build in an additional day for possible courier delays.
Will my cake arrive on the exact date I select?
Please select the date the cake is needed rather than an exact arrival date. Wherever timing allows, we plan for the cake to arrive the working day before. Orders placed with the minimum notice may arrive on the date they are needed.
Why might my cake arrive early?
We would much rather your cake arrive a little early than risk it missing the celebration. The courier service is generally overnight, but occasional delays can happen, so we build in extra time wherever possible.
How much does Wellington delivery cost?
For our introductory Wellington launch period, delivery is $10 per cake across eligible Wellington postcodes. The rate is applied automatically at checkout.
Do I need a discount code?
No. Enter the recipient's correct Wellington postcode at checkout and the introductory delivery rate will be applied automatically.
Why is the postcode important?
The correct postcode confirms whether delivery is available and allows checkout to apply the appropriate delivery service and charge.
Which cakes can be delivered to Wellington?
Every cake shown on this page has been selected because we trust it to travel well. Other cakes on our website may be available only for Auckland delivery or Pakuranga collection.
Will my cake still be fresh when it arrives?
Yes. Your cake will remain delicious for at least five days from the day it arrives and does not need to be refrigerated.
Can I add a personalised message?
Yes. Personalised edible messages are available on eligible cakes. The available option will be shown when you select your cake.
